Pardon Granted by Utah Board of Pardons and Parole (2023)

In 2006, the client was convicted in federal court of Possession of Child Pornography. After his prison sentence and successful completion of supervised release in 2019, BROWNBRADSHAW & MOFFAT successfully obtained his early removal from Utah’s sex offender registry despite the strenuous objection of the federal government.

Between 1997 and 2007, the client was convicted of four DUIs and one count of Attempted Sodomy on a Child, a registerable sex offense requiring lifetime registration. The client was convicted in 2002 of Attempted Sexual Abuse of a Child based on his involvement with a 12-year-old girl at a Christmas party when he was 19 years old. Client was convicted of numerous misdemeanor and felony offenses in 1999 and 2000 involving six different cases involving Operation of a Clandestine Lab, Theft, and Possession of Prohibited Items in Correctional Facility.  BBM helped him successfully obtain a full pardon of all offenses, as well as an expungement of additional drug charges.

Client was convicted in 2004 of two counts of Sexual Abuse of a Child, offenses involving a neighbor child temporarily residing in his parents’ home.  BBM helped him successfully obtain a full pardon of his registerable sex offenses.

Client was convicted in 1997 of Forcible Sex Abuse, an offense involving his niece.  BBM helped him successfully obtain a full pardon of his registerable sex offense.

After successfully expunging ten separate criminal cases, Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat helped the client obtain a full pardon of an additional fourteen criminal convictions, each from a separate case, and most of them involving felony drug offenses and violent felony offenses.

Client was convicted of Forcible Sex Abuse in 1991 for an offense involving a teenage boy who was a resident at an inpatient youth treatment facility where the client worked as a counselor.  Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat helped him successfully obtain a full pardon of his sex offense.

Client was convicted of several felony drug distribution charges, theft charges and weapons charges in 1996 and 1997.  Because of the number of felony convictions on his record, he was ineligible for an expungement.  Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat helped him successfully obtain a full pardon of all offenses on his criminal record.

Client was initially charged with Sexual Abuse of a Child and was ultimately convicted of Sexual Battery in 2009.  Over the strenuous objection of the victim and her parents, Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat helped the client successfully obtain an expungement of his sex offense.

Client was convicted of numerous drug and alcohol offenses while a college student in the late 1990's, thereby rendering her ineligible for employment as a licensed school teacher.  Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat helped her successfully expunge six separate criminal cases, resulting in a clean criminal record and an ability to pursue her teaching career.

Between 1992 and 1999, the client was convicted of numerous crimes for drug offenses, burglary, theft, and child abuse, thereby precluding him from passing background checks necessary to obtain contract work involving military bases and other government properties. Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat helped him successfully expunge ten separate criminal cases, thereby giving him a clean criminal record and an ability to pursue his desired contract work with the government.

Expungement Granted by Court (2015)

Client was charged with Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child, Sodomy on a Child, and Rape in 2012.  The charges were ultimately dismissed without prejudice, thereby rendering the client ineligible to expunge them from his criminal record pursuant to Utah law.  Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat successfully argued for his expungement eligibility and, over the State’s objection, helped the client successfully obtain an expungement and a clean criminal record.

Expungements Granted by Courts (2015)

Client was convicted of numerous felony and misdemeanor convictions between 1989 and 2006, including drug offenses, weapons offenses, and violent offenses.  He was repeatedly denied eligibility for expungement. Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat helped him become eligible, and helped him successfully expunge twenty-six separate criminal cases, thereby giving him a clean criminal history which allowed him to work as a store manager for a national restaurant chain. Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat also helped him to receive special clearance from the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to work in a managerial position where alcohol is served.

Client was convicted of numerous drug and alcohol offenses, thereby rendering him ineligible for the type of employment he desired.  Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat helped him successfully expunge ten separate criminal cases, resulting in a clean criminal record and an ability to pursue his desired employment.
